When you email or call me
The enquiry buttons prepare a message in your email app or Gmail. You complete and send it yourself. Selecting a service or opening an enquiry on this website does not send a message or store your contact details.
I process the information you choose to share: mainly your name, email address or phone number, message content and project details. I use it to respond to your enquiry and discuss possible work together. Please do not send passwords or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for an initial discussion.
For an enquiry intended to lead to a contract, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For other enquiries or communication with a company's contact person, the basis is my legitimate interest in handling that communication (point (f)). Data needed for a subsequent contract is processed to perform it, meet legal obligations and protect legal claims (points (b), (c) and (f)).
Providing enquiry details is voluntary. However, I cannot reply without a way to contact you. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing messages. I do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
Website visits and cookies
This website's own code contains no analytics or advertising tools and does not store cookies or data in your browser's local storage. There is no contact form, customer account, embedded map or embedded social media. Fonts and images are loaded directly from this website.
The hosting service uses Cloudflare's technical cookie __cf_bm to protect against malicious automated traffic. According to Cloudflare, it expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. It is used for security, not advertising; details are available in the Cloudflare cookie overview.
This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites, whose infrastructure uses Cloudflare. To deliver pages, maintain security and troubleshoot technical problems, these providers may process network and operational data, such as IP addresses, request times, visited URLs and browser information. This processing supports the technical operation and protection of the service; its legal basis is a legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website.
Who else may process data
I use Google's Gmail for email, and OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting. These providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. Their policies explain their own processing practices, retention periods and safeguards for international transfers:
Data may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by law. I do not sell personal data.
How long I keep data
I retain correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and discuss possible work together. If we work together, I also retain necessary data for contract performance, statutory retention obligations and any assertion or defence of legal claims. Once the relevant purpose no longer applies, the data is deleted unless the law or an ongoing dispute requires further retention.
Hosting providers determine how long technical infrastructure logs are retained for operational and security purposes; this website does not set those periods. Further information is available in the linked provider policies.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your data, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Please send requests to the email address above.
